Mission Statement
How will we get there?
Bridgeway Community Church exists to lift up Jesus by leading all people into a relationship with him, so they can learn to be his fully-devoted followers within a safe church family characterized by love for each other, regardless of personal cultural background.
- Lift
Our primary focus in all that we do is the person of Jesus. We desire to worship him with our lives and our service.
- Lead
Outreach is key to our vision. We desire to see followers of Christ spreading the good news of the gospel.
- Learn
We desire to train willing people to carry our the work of Christ in the ministry and leadership of our church.
- Love
We want our church to be like a family where people genuinely care for one another.
Philosophy of Ministry
- God has bulit a bridge to us (salvation)
We are a community of believers who have placed our faith and trust in the redemptive work of Jeus Christ, that is his death, burial, and resurrection (Romans 5:8). This is the basis for Bridgeway's commitment to ethnic diversity and harmony.
- We need to build bridges to him (worship)
One of our responsibilities is to offer praise and worship to God (Hebrews 13:15). We try to provide opportunities for everone to have meaningful, joyful, and celebrative worship. Because of our vision, we need to practice and appreciate different styles of worship from different cultures.
- We need to build bridges to each other (edification)
As we emphasize Small Groups, discipleship, accountability, and fellowship, we fulfill the commands to build up and encourage one another (Hebrews 10:25; Ephesians 4:12). We must encourage people to buld bridges beyone their comfort zones as we seek to fulfill our vision.
- We need to build bridges to the unchurched (evangelism)
As a church, we need to be committed to reaching unchurched people in their language, culture, and with as few barriers as possible (Matthew 28:19-20).
- We need to build bridges globally (missions)
As a church, we need to be commmitted to reaching people on an international level who have a need to meet Jesus Christ (Matthew 28:19-20).

Following Jesus Christ
How to Establish a "Spiritual Base" for My Life
Believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for me and showed he was God by coming back to life (1 Corinthians 15:2-4).
Accept God's free forgiveness for my sins (Romans 3:22).
Switch to God's plan for my life (Mark 1:15; Romans 12:2).
Express my desire for Christ to be the leader of my life (Romans 10:9).
If you are willing to take these four steps, then pray this simple prayer:
"Dear God, I believe you sent your Son, Jesus, to die for my sins so I can be forgiven. I'm sorry for my sins and I want to live the way you want me to. I believe that Jesus rose again and I want to follow him the rest of my life. Please put your Spirit in my life to direct me. Amen."
If you just prayed that prayer, please let us know (630-668-9900 or bridgeway@sbcglobal.net)we'd love to celebrate with you and be able to serve you in your new-found walk with Christ!
