For a general overview of all banking services, one may look to the
Maryland Bankers Association (MBA),
which since 1896 has as the only Maryland-based trade group representing banks in
the state, the MBA. The association has member banks of all sizes and charter types,
representing 135 banks operating in Maryland with more than 1,800 branches and over
$100 billion in deposits. MBA members employ 40,000 banking professionals and on
average these employees dedicate over 100 hours in community leadership positions
each year.
The Maryland and District of Columbia Credit
Union Association (MDDCCUA) is the regional trade association for
credit unions in the state of Maryland and the District of Columbia, providing leadership,
innovation and support in three strategic areas: Advocacy, Community Outreach and
Services.
