CorridorCare is a limited healthcare plan being offered to members of the BWCC for their employees. The CorridorCare health plan was arranged through a strategic alliance formed with the Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber (BWCC) and the Maryland Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (MDHCC) in 2005. The Alliance was unique and both chambers are the FIRST and ONLY chambers in Maryland to offer a health plan to member businesses. The insurance plan is administered by C.O.B., Inc. of Pikesville and ESI of Columbia.
CorridorCare offers employers options for providing their employees with healthcare solutions that are more affordable than traditional medical and dental insurance. Our limited accident & sickness insurance plans are underwritten by ACE American Insurance Company, part of the ACE Group of Companies. Our dental insurance plans are underwritten by Denta-Chek of Maryland, Inc. and Security Life Insurance Company of America.
CorridorCare limited accident & sickness insurance plans offer lower-cost alternatives to comprehensive major medical insurance for employers and their employees, who may be uninsured or underinsured. Even if other coverage is already in place, this plan can be used as a supplement to fill any gaps in coverage. It was designed to help people who pay some or all of the costs of their own health care.
IMPORTANT NOTE: CorridorCare Limited Accident & Sickness Insurance Plans are not comprehensive major medical insurance and should not be considered a replacement for existing major medical coverage. It is, however, a valuable alternative for employees who do not have major medical insurance for themselves and their families.
